We organise the "Adventurers’ Day" as often as possible, for children to relax and explore the great outdoors.
Activities include learning to use a compass, read a map, treasure hunt, building a treehouse, dams across the streams, roasting food on a wood fire ... all supervised by qualified staff.
I love the treehouses! "but it’s not easy to build them with fir tree branches, especially when we’re not allowed to use nails, and we don’t have a hammer". The girls collect the branches and the boys make the structure.
The group leader organises the groups: one group to set the fire with him, another group prepares the food, another group keeps the drinking water cool in the stream. "There’s a lot of smoke when we roast the food, but it’s tasty even if it does sting your eyes".
